Centrallix and Stewardship

The first thing you should know, Centrallix has the potential to replace the thousands of dollars that any one mission agency spends today on management software. In many ways, the continued success of this project is an issue of financial stewardship within the Christian community at large. Yeah, that’s a huge statement. The continued success of this software, meaning involvement among the Christian IT community, will save millions of dollars. This software is being positioned to replace software that has, in some larger organizations, cost over $1 million dollars. How I wish that $1 million from just one of these orgs had been put into an open source project so that all mission agencies could benefit

Can the Church Use My Old Computer?

Many churches, ministries, and everyday people in this world do not have the money available to purchase the latest in computing hardware or software and if they did they may feel that their money could be more wisely spent to fund ministry. As someone involved with technology in your church you may have had people [...]

The Hope That is Within Technical Stewardship

I’m excited about the potential of this project to become a focal point for the education of open source solutions among the Christian community. On Defining What We Are Doing

As Linc’s previous note mentioned, we’ve hacked at some ideas for a Mission Statement. Taking the great thoughts Russ shared (and Joel & Linc seconded), I tried to outline a focus for us. Please join with me in welcoming Joel Mclaughlin (http://lifeinohio.libsyn.com/), [...]

Why don’t more Churches use Linux?

The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. James 1:17 (The Message) This verse out of [...]

Still workin’

Well folks, this is probably going to be the default theme for a while.  I have not had a lot of luck getting a custom one working and it’s not real attractive having an ugly broken theme for newcomers – or even old-comers! Stay tuned… more interesting news to come… I promise!

Still workin’ on it

Still working on things here as far as getting the wordpress theme straight, however, I would like to extend a special thanks to Corey who just helped me get the css header straight. More to come eventually

Here we are

Hi everyone. Just a note that I am in the process of trying to beat my previous theme into a wordpress format. Everything is mostly broken still so hang in there, and if you have any wordpress theme skills you’d like to share, this would be the time Contact me on the L4C Mailing list [...]
